2009 Award of Landscape Merit

The A.P.S. has a new award that began in 2008. The "Award of Landscape Merit" (A.L.M.) will be given to those peonies (old and new) which have certain desirable characteristics. The plants must be self-supporting while in flower, they must do well in all regions of the country and they must have lower maintenance requirements in general. The A.L.M. has been created to recognize those peonies that fill a broader range of needs and to build a wider appreciation of peonies in modern landscape design. Twenty nine peonies have been selected for the "Award of Landscape Merit 2009". |
