Peony Rose Heart is a double that opens dark pink, then the petals fade to exquisite pink shades of a watercolor painting with the outer petals a frame of palest pink. According to the "American Peony Society" bulletin number 338 the plant that has been thought to be peony Bess Bockstoce is actually peony Rose Heart. Rose Heart is one of the "promising herbaceous peonies" mentioned by Allan Rogers in his book "Peonies". Rare and limited. Don't miss this one.
